The safety and well-being of our community is of the utmost importance to us. We want to assure you that the ISMIR 2026 conference will take place from November 8 through 12, 2026. Whether the conference takes place in person (with a virtual option) in Abu Dhabi or fully virtual will depend on how the situation develops in the coming weeks.
At this time:
- We are closely monitoring developments related to geopolitical tensions, travel advisories, and any impacts on international gatherings.
- The organizing committee is committed to the conference taking place, whether in person or fully virtual.
- The paper submission timeline remains unchanged.
- Our top priority is to support community members, presenters, and attendees in making informed decisions and to help ensure a safe conference experience.
We will continue to keep you informed with updates as more information becomes available, including any changes to conference logistics, travel guidance, or participation options. In the meantime, we hope that you and your families are as safe as possible.
